Job Description:

 

General Experience:

•Be highly skilled in the usage of Microsoft Office suite, Excel, and PowerPoint

Specialized Experience:

Specialized expert assistance with plan development in a variety of projects which may include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Develop and finalize plans in which public health and medical services have functional roles and responsibilities, including assessment of public health/medical needs, health surveillance, medical care personnel, health/medical equipment and supplies, patient evacuation, patient care, safety and security of drugs, biologics, and medical devices, blood and blood products, and food safety and security.

  • Develop Disaster Plans which may be strategic, operational, or tactical in nature.  The complexity of these plans will depend upon the nature and scope of the threat or public health and medical functional responsibility.  Plans may be hazard, threat or phase-based, for example, a nuclear power plant incident (hazard-based), a pandemic influenza response plan (threat-based); evacuation of hospitalized patients (function-based), or healthcare system recovery (phase-based).

  • Facilitate and document an inclusive process for plan development with agency-identified stakeholders and partners.

  • Deliver disaster response and recovery plans wherein organizational roles and responsibilities of internal departments and external agencies are clearly identified.

  • Deliver disaster response and recovery plans where the concept of operations is both vertically and horizontally integrated and has clear trigger points for activation.

  • Develop plans which meet or exceed national public health preparedness and healthcare preparedness capability standards in the following areas:

 

  • Public Health Laboratory Testing

  • Public Health Surveillance and Epidemiological Investigation

  • Community Preparedness

  • Healthcare System Preparedness

  • Community Recovery

  • Healthcare System Recovery

  • Medical Countermeasure Dispensing

  • Medical Materiel Management and Distribution

  • Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions

  • Responder Safety and Health

  • Entry-level employee responsible for performing a wide array of routine basic planning, analytical, or scientific tasks for supervisory staff (for example, data entry, spreadsheet, database, presentation or graphics modifications and development) Training program development including objectives, content, training materials, learning aids

  • Plan, manage, and deliver disaster response and recovery services

  • Requires the application of standard techniques and procedures to assist in the conduct of pre-event planning consulting projects

  • A good communicator at all levels and sensitive to regional requirements

  • Collaborative team worker and relationship builder

  • Organising training/exercising events at company and client locations.

  • Development of client specific emergency response plans
